Citing Security Threat, Nupur Sharma Requests Media Houses, People Not To Make Her Address Public

On Sunday, the BJP suspended its spokesperson Nupur Sharma from the party’s primary membership and ousted Delhi media chief Naveen Kumar Jindal for making controversial statements aimed at minorities.

Nupur Sharma retracted his statement on Sunday. “It was not my intention to offend anyone’s religious feelings,” Nupur Sharma said.

It was reported that Nupur Sharma made “controversial comments” a few days ago during a TV debate insulting the Prophet Mohammed, which provoked massive outrage and protest from Muslim groups.
