Sidhu Moosewala Murder Case: Moga Police Detains Another Suspect from Haryana’s Fatehabad

Chandigarh: Nearly a week after the high profile shootings of Punjabi singer and politician Sidhu Moosewala, Moga police arrested another suspect on Monday. The accused has been arrested in the Musehli village of Fatehabad, Haryana. The arrested man has been identified as Devendra alias Kala and two other suspects, Charanjit and Keshav, are accused of murdering a Punjabi singer in Jawaharke village in Mansa district on May 30.Also Read – After Sidhu Moosewala’s shocking death, AP Dhillon highlights the darkest side of the industry

Talking to media, SSP Moga (Punjab) Gulneet Singh Khurana said, “The accused has been called for trial, but he has not been arrested yet.”

A case has been registered against Devendra at Fatehpur Sadar police station under NDPS Act. Earlier on June 2, a joint team of Punjab police and Fatehabad police arrested two youths – Pawan Bishnoi and Naseeb Khan – during the raid. While the two have been arrested in connection with an old murder case, their role in the singer’s murder remains under investigation.

According to reports, the car used to transport the shooters was allegedly provided by Naseeb Khan. He drove the car from Rajasthan and handed it to Charanjit in Fatehabad. On May 25, at around 7am, Priyavrata Fauji, Ankit Jhanti Sersa, Charanjit and Keshav were seen at the Bisla Petrol Pump.

On May 29, a day after the state government curtailed their security, Moosewala was shot dead by unknown perpetrators in the Mansa district of Punjab. His cousin and friend who were traveling in jeep with him were also injured.

CCTV footage, which later emerged on social media, showed the corolla car chasing Moosewala’s vehicle in Jawahar K village. Bolero then stood in front of Musevala’s vehicle, and those in the Corolla opened fire on the singer.

Shubhadeep Singh Sidhu, also known as Sidhu Moosewala, was among the 424 people who were temporarily withdrawn or curtailed by the Punjab police. State police have called the incident a case of gang rivalry, and said Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang was behind the murder. A Bishnoi gang member was responsible for the murder of Canada-based Goldie Brar.
